People have been lining up at snack shops in Wuhan since the city was unlocked on April 8. Many are eager to buy the city’s signature dish – shaomai – a pork-filled dumpling stuffed into a deep-fried shell.

Wuhan snacks are no longer popular only within the city, but have gained popularity nationwide. On Sina Weibo, Wuhan snacks, including hot dry noodles, doupi and spicy duck neck were among the most searched topics in recent weeks.
