10月12日，正在国际空间站上执行驻留任务的意大利首位女性宇航员萨曼莎·克里斯托福雷蒂（Samantha Cristoforetti），在太空中“书写”了一段中国式浪漫。
An Italian astronaut posted a group of photos taken from space and attached several lines from a famous ancient Chinese composition, demonstrating her outstanding Chinese language ability that amazed Chinese internet users and language experts.
当天，她在个人社交媒体账号上发布了一组太空摄影作品，并配上了中国著名书法家王羲之所著《兰亭集序》中一句描绘宇宙景观的古文：“仰观宇宙之大，俯察品类之盛，所以游目骋怀，足以极视听之娱，信可乐也。”
她还在帖文里附上了英文翻译：
Looking up, I see the immensity of the cosmos; bowing my head, I look at the multitude of the world.
The gaze flies, the heart expands, the joy of the senses can reach its peak, and indeed, this is true happiness.
萨曼莎发布的这组太空摄影作品，疑似是在太空中拍摄的中国渤海湾以及北京市的白天和夜景照片。她的配文既展现了太空视角下的地球之美，又展现了她不俗的中文功底。
外交部发言人毛宁表示，自古以来，了解和探索宇宙就是人类的共同梦想。随着科技的进步，“上九天揽月”已成为现实，探索与和平利用外空也将促进全人类的共同福祉。她说：“前几天我们也看到了从中国空间站拍摄的视频，领略到这颗蓝色星球无与伦比的美丽。各国理应携手努力，呵护好我们共同生活的星球，让地球和世界变得更加美好。”
Cristoforetti's post was also praised by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Thursday.
"I have read about it too and the Italian astronaut certainly has my like. Exploring the universe has been mankind's dream since ancient times. Thanks to scientific and technological progress, reaching beyond the moon has become a reality. Humanity will continue to benefit from the noble endeavor of exploration and peaceful use of space," Mao says.
"Just a few days ago we also saw a video clip shared online showing the magnificence of our blue planet Earth seen from China’s space station. Countries around the world can and need to work together to look after the planet we all call home and make the world a better place for all," she added.
萨曼莎在太空中借用王羲之这句古文直抒胸臆，也引发国外社交媒体上网友的热议。
有网友被萨曼莎拍摄的美景震撼，也有网友表示她的中文水平好到足够上中国空间站了。还有网友称，愿世界和平，少一些冲突，多一些合作。

欧空局公布的欧洲宇航员个人履历显示，萨曼莎·克里斯托福雷蒂1977年4月26日出生于米兰，于2009年被正式成为欧空局的宇航员，她也是第一位进入太空的意大利女性宇航员。
萨曼莎会说意大利语、英语、德语、法语、俄语和中文，她还是欧空局内一个中国联络组的成员，欧空局官网显示该工作组的任务是与中国同行保持联系，以确定和实施双方宇航员领域的合作计划。
2017年，萨曼莎还曾赴华，与中国航天员一同参加了在中国黄海组织的海上生存演习。这也是中外宇航员首次在中国开展联合训练。
