After 11 seasons, the US sitcom Modern Family aired its final episode on April 8. The show was “widely recognized as one of the funniest and most decorated sitcoms of this century”, according to entertainment news website EOnline.

Debuting in 2009, the show claimed 22 Emmy Awards and 75 nominations. Over 11 seasons, fans have witnessed the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan, a blended family with eclectic characters, overcome the trials and tribulations of any modern family, including death, adoption and mental health.
